366 days of rain, 2025
a burnt paper fragment on the floor, scratches along the lower part of the wall, paint applied unevenly and painted over again, cut flowers left behind, dust collected in corners, a window held open by the handle of a broken umbrella, a small animal carved into the frame, radiatorsturned off, lights not used, temperature outside: 23°C, overcast, light rain.
(scene 1)

the artist’s kitchen, first floor, 2025
The space documents the aftermath of a working period. No installation, no reactivation, only marks, remainders, and minor interventions remain. Burnt paper fragments on the floor. Scratches on the wall surface. Layers of paint unevenly applied and painted over again. Flowers cut and left behind, dust in corners. A window stays open, referencing the familiar view from the studio, unframed, unaddressed. To keep it from slamming shut: the handle of a broken umbrella, wedged into place. Someone has carved a figure into the wood.
Lighting remains off. Radiators off. The room is lit by ambient daylight.
Outside: 23°C, overcast, intermittent rain.
